Energy Saving Engineering

Solar Panel Engineering and Services

In line with the government's energy efficiency policy, we have started our solar panel project services to provide professional and reliable services to our customers to save energy and reduce electricity costs for our aging buildings and re-industries in Hong Kong.

Energy Audit Services

We provide professional energy auditing services with the objective of conducting professional system data collection for our clients, as well as performing engineering analysis. The purpose is to report to the client where the energy consumption of their system is located. For example, the energy status of the equipment in operation, comparison with other equipment in similar buildings to see if the efficiency of the machine is up to standard, etc. We also provide professional advice to our clients to carry out energy saving projects on their existing systems, and to perform a certain degree of coefficient adjustment on the control system to reduce electricity consumption at low load times, in order to reduce electricity consumption and maintenance costs.

The entire project will be audited by REA, a professional energy auditor, and a report will be provided to the client.

Retro Commissioning

According to the Hong Kong Urban Energy Efficiency Blueprint 2015 ~ 2025+ jointly published by the Environment Bureau, Development Bureau and Transport and Housing Bureau in May 2015. Retro-commissioning" is one of the key objectives to promote energy saving in existing buildings. Retro-commissioning (RCx) is a cost-effective and systematic testing process to check the performance of existing buildings in a timely manner to identify areas where operational savings can be optimized, thereby reducing energy costs and improving the quality of the indoor environment.

Recalibration brings many different benefits including the following:

Shortening payback periods by utilizing zero- or low-cost options for building energy savings

Reduced operations and maintenance (O&M) costs

Reducing energy-consuming equipment or system failures and extending equipment life

Ensuring that energy-consuming equipment or systems operate at high performance and provide a comfortable and healthy indoor environment

Enhancing the asset value of the building

Build knowledge and skills within the building management team and enhance O&M industry development.

What is the difference between recertification and energy audit?

Recalibration focuses on checking that the energy equipment or system is operating properly as designed or as required by the user, and identifies areas for optimization (e.g., system control setting drift, inaccurate sensors, improper operating schedules, and air and water distribution system configurations). In addition, the recalibration process also establishes energy savings opportunities for building owners to implement and continuously calibrate plans to maintain efficient building operations.

Our Retro Commissioning Technology Services

After the energy audit service, if the customer needs to provide more in-depth system services and needs to carry out in-depth system improvement and optimization, it is necessary to change the operating parameters of the mechanical and electrical system or re-adjust the status of the on-site equipment. For example, the refrigeration unit of air-conditioning system runs all year round, so that the air conditioner of the building is too cold and even causes the emergence of pouring sweat, our technical investigation team will work together with the design engineer team to re-examine the operation status of the on-site equipment and system, such as on-site inspection of chilled water main pipe flow, chiller unit operating pressure, refrigeration temperature, and the actual return water temperature, return air temperature, etc., to confirm which sites can reduce the cooling capacity, and will To identify which sites can reduce the cooling capacity and lower the operation of the refrigeration unit, so as to reduce the electricity consumption of the system and save energy.

In special cases, for example, if the site equipment is aging and no longer meets the requirements of the current regulations, we will also provide customers with a solution to replace a certain level of system equipment at the lowest cost, such as adding inverters to the control system, or replacing the PICV, so that customers can achieve energy savings at the lowest cost.

After the completion of the energy saving project, we will provide a one-year follow-up and support service to ensure the normal operation of the system, so that customers can use the equipment with peace of mind and avoid system failure.
